The search bar is more than a search bar.
  • add equation in search bar and it will order the operations and calculate
  • add a euro amount and it turns into an exchange rate
  • plug in a flight and google will give you the flight status and if you click on the details button you will also get the gate number, etc.
  • type flights to PHL or any airport and you will receive a flight list of all flights to that airport
  • type weather 18940 and you will get the weather for the week
  • type movies 18940 it will list the movie theaters and movies in this zip code or near by
  • thai food 18940 will show a map and also information for the thai restaurants in the area
  • define: philtrum and you will receive the definition

Wonder Wheel - Type in a word in the search bar and then click more tools on left side of screen and the search will be a graphic wheel
Timeline - Type in a topic and click Timeline on bottom left and you will see a visual representation of a timeline

  • File type - Choose PP, word, etc.
  • example: use taj mahal and the PP file type and you will see many PP online

Google Docs - Just like Microsoft Word but without some of the bells and whistles.

  • Share through emails
  • File, Download as....PDF, Word, HTML, etc.
  • Tools, Translate Document - translate doc into a different language
  • Spreadsheets
    • Select text and then hold Ctrl while drag down. Google looks for lists and continues this list.

www.google.com/squared Google Squared - Do a search and google will give the information in text and picture lists and compare information. Much easier to read.
  • Can add columns to the search and also sort the different columns
  • Try it with US Presidents, chemicals, sporting teams

Google Forms - docs.google.com
  • Create new and choose Form
  • Fill out information
  • Choose type of questions
  • Check mark to make it a required question
  • Can share this by copying link at bottom of page or if in the edit form click the Email this form in the top right corner or use tinyurl.com
